The Conestoga Chorus Barbershop Since 1985 www.conestogachorus.org The Conestoga Chorus is an a cappella singing organization that is part of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Located in Grand Island, Nebraska, they have been entertaining audiences in and around the Grand Island area since 1985. The Grand Island Conestoga Chorus owes much of its existence to the Hastings Chorus of the Plains. In the early 80’s there were several Grand Island men singing with the Hastings group. They decided that Grand Island should have its own chorus and, with much support from the Hastings Chorus of the Plains, became the nucleus of the current Grand Island Chapter. One of the things we like to do every year is to take a couple of Sundays in the summertime to bring music to area churches. We have sung in Grand Island, Alda, Wood River, St. Paul, Aurora, Hampton, Benedict, York, and many other places.  Other activities include an annual Chapter show in the spring, Singing Valentines, and the annual Corn Roast. The Conestoga Chorus meets in the Chapel of the Evangelical Free Church in Grand Island on Thursday nights at 7:30pm.
